Regeringen tar bort Golden Weeks


Omläggningen av trottoar har fortsatt med stor intensitet inför OS.
Denna höst har bland annat Wangjing Bei Lu blivit uppsnyggad.
Åsnor är fortfarande transportmedel nummer 1 för de gamla plattorna


Som det ryktades om efter oktober-lovet så är Golden Weeks i fara. Idag kom underlaget från myndigheterna ut och man kan kort konstatera att det blivit mer komplicerat.
Tanken är att få fler och kortare ledigheter för att minska trycket på inhemska sevärdheter.
Samtidigt får man chansen att lära sig fler traditionella kinesiska högtider som tex Tomb Sweeping day.

• Dec 29th 2007(Saturday) is a working day

2. Spring Festival, seven consecutive days (February 6th—February 12th)
• February 6th—February 8th are statutory holidays; February 9th (Saturday) and February 10th (Sunday) are weekend days
• February 11th (Monday) and February 12th (Tuesday) is a compensation for the weekend days of February 2nd (Saturday) and February 3rd (Sunday)
• February 2nd (Saturday) and February 3rd (Sunday) are two working days

3. Tomb-Sweeping Day, three consecutive days (April 4th—April 6th)
• April 4th is a statutory holiday
• April 5th (Saturday) and April 6th (Sunday) are weekend days

4. The May Day Holiday, three consecutive days(May 1st—May 3rd)
• May 1st is a statutory holiday; May 3rd 2008 is a Saturday
• May 2nd (Friday)is a compensation for May 4th (Sunday)
• May 4th (Sunday) is a working day

5. Dragon-boat Festival, three consecutive days(June 7th—June 9th)
• June 8th is a statutory holiday; June 7th is a Saturday
• June 9th (Monday) is a compensation for June 8th (Sunday)

6. Mid Autumn Festival, three consecutive days(September 13th—September 15th)
• September 14th is a statutory holiday; September 13th is a Saturday
• September 15th (Monday) is a compensation for September 14th (Sunday)

7. National Day Holiday, seven consecutive days(September 29th—October 5th )
• October 1st—October 3rd are statutory holidays; October 4th and October 5th are weekend days
• September 29th (Monday) and September 30th(Tuesday) is a compensation for the weekend days of September 27th (Saturday) and September 28th(Sunday)
• September 27th (Saturday) and September 28th (Sunday) are two working days
